By waiving the GMAT/GRE requirement, the prestigious business school aims to attract a diverse pool of talented professionals who can demonstrate their leadership potential, achievements, and fit for the program through other means, paving the way for a richer and more dynamic learning environment.

Business colleges are adapting to tackle the current challenges facing many Round 3 candidates. However, one top-tier school has surpassed others so far. An announcement was made that the Kellogg School is waiving the GMAT and GRE requirements for candidates applying in Round 3. A lot of B-schools waived off GMAT/ GRE during Covid in 2020 and extended the waiver for following intakes as well.

In sharing this remarkable choice, Kate Smith, Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, stated, “Your goals matter. Nothing about the disruption you are experiencing should hold you back. So we’re removing what you and your future classmates have identified as a potential barrier to finalising your applications in time for the extended deadlines.”

While online alternatives for the GMAT and GRE are currently available or will soon be accessible, Smith acknowledges that Kellogg recognizes these delivery methods may not suit everyone. Additionally, they could introduce new challenges related to studying in a condensed timeline, she added. If you already possess a test score and believe it will enhance your application, you are welcome to submit it. Kellogg will also keep accepting scores from GMAC and ETS’s online testing alternatives.
