HEC PARIS

Houssam is pursuing his MBA at HEC Paris, which he embarked on in January 2023. He currently holds the position of Vice President at the IB/PE/VC club and serves as an advisor to the entrepreneurial club at HEC Paris.

Before starting his MBA journey, Houssam gained extensive experience as a Senior Associate at Deloitte, where he was part of the M&A advisory team. He actively participated in buy-side and sell-side advisory engagements, offering operational and commercial due diligence, value creation, performance improvement, separation, and post-merger integration services for companies backed by private equity and sovereign wealth funds.

Before his time at Deloitte, Houssam worked as a Cluster Manager at Orange Business, the B2B arm of the renowned French telecom company Orange. His responsibilities included strategy development, cost reduction, and performance improvement, directly contributing to the company’s profitability.

Houssam’s diverse professional journey also included an internship at a joint venture between Chevron and ExxonMobil on an oil & gas project in Kazakhstan. He interned at a power plant during his undergraduate studies, further expanding his industry knowledge.

Houssam holds a mechanical engineering degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.

In his free time, he enjoys running, playing tennis and football, and continuously learning about finance, economics, and history. Houssam also has a passion for culinary arts, where he loves experimenting with new recipes and dishes.
